Thanksgiving

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. We drove to my parents for the day and ate enormous amounts of yummy fare. We met Bryce's girlfriend, Amy, and her two daughters, Felicia and Brittany. My kids had enjoyed seeing Grammy, Papa and Great Gram.

Drew was happy becasue Grammy had bought him a new blue Ramone car. Mirra was very interested in the food. She swiped some corn casserole off her dad's plate and decided that cherry cheesecake was delish. She is definitely Andy's 'mini-me". She then explored the new whiskers on Papa's face.

Etherton Shopping Weekend

The women on my mom's side of the family gather every year to get a kickstart on their Christmas shopping. This year we went to my aunt & uncle's in Dayton, Ohio. Both of their sons had baby girls this year too. Here is a picture of all the babies. Me with Mirra (5 1/2 months), my aunt Sheri with Lilly (2 1/2 months), and my great-aunt Vernice with Eve (6 weeks). Small, smaller, and smallest.

Deep Thought

Caramel apples were much better as a kid......before we develop sensitive teeth.

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm a little early, I know, but couldn't resist posting this photo of my little guy. He made this hat in school today.

New Milestone

Well, our Miss Mirra has learned to sit up by herself. She can sit for almost a minute before toppling over. Sorry I haven't downloaded photos yet, but I will get them up here as soon as I can.

Halloween

Halloween was fun this year. Drew had a party at preschool so I went to help with games and crafts. Drew's preschool is at his future elementary school. All of the kids in his class dressed up and paraded around the other classrooms. The kids were adorable, but Mirra created a large fan base in her little pumpkin costume.

After school we played in the leaves at home. Drew likes to argue that it is a stick pile, not a leaf pile. I have to admit we are both right.

Halloween night was fun. Drew dressed as a fireman (he wouldn't wear his costume the last two years so this was a big deal). When we drove the kids to Aunt Anita's house we noticed that the firehouse was happenin'. Andy & I looked at each other and knew Drew had to make an appearance. The firemen asked if he was reporting to duty and pretended to have a water fight with him. Then Drew climbed up into one of the trucks and turned on the light and sirens. He wasn't a big fan of the sirens and decided he had had enough. One of the firemen told Drew to come back and see him in 12 years.

We headed back to the house to feed Mirra and change her into a red chili pepper costume. We then hit the neighborhood behind our house. We scored a lot of sugar and all anxiously await Halloween next year.
