Drew is in a summer class this week with his cousin, Hannah. This means I need to get out of summer vacation mode and get organized in the a.m.
Why is it that no matter how prepared I am, how ahead of schedule I am, that it all goes to hell 10 minutes before departure time? Today Drew was dragging his feet, I realized I needed to take the garbage out on my way, and Mirra managed to slime my shirt between the house and the car. Where she found that piece of mushed up fruit and grain bar, I have no idea. This was on only one cup of coffee which was in no way adequate. So I ease on down the road and I am Crabby.
Then...five seconds from the driveway I hear Drew start to sing along with the Shrek soundtrack, with much enthusiasm and totally off-key, and that made the Crabbies disappear.
