The night before classes began we went to the school for kindergarten curiosity night so we could met his teacher and see the classroom. When we arrived all of the parents and new students gathered in the gym. Mirra was facinated with the little girl sitting in front of us and her Tinkerbell hair ribbon. In short, Mirra was behaving like a two-year-old. I was trying to juggle her and keep her quiet while the principal made a speech. The principal spoke about how she knew it was difficult for parents to send their little ones off to school. At that point Drew puts his arm around my shoulder and repeats "It'll be OK Mom."
After three days he seems to have adjusted to the full day format, though I admit that I am ready to have him home by 2:00. He comes home excited and tells us about the many things he does at school.
Andy and I are just bursting with pride that he is adjusting so well.
