Turkey Crack

If you don't know what crack is refer to the post entitled "The Things They Say." Mirra and I did this alphabet turkey craft. She did a good job.

I couldn't resist reposting this craft of Drew's from school 2 years ago. It was so cute. Thanks Jenn!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

I told Drew I was going to school. He said "Mom, keep your hands to yourself."

A Shopping We Will Go...

Every year that I can remember, the ladies in my mom's family gather from far and wide to Christmas shop together. Though the location has varied throughout the years, this meeting will always take place. My cousin and great Aunt Ev from Texas joined us this year. It was wonderful to see so many cousins and aunts and kick start our holiday gift finding.

Santa's sleigh is getting full

I'm not sure what they were doing, but my aunts and mom were quite involved with this Thomas the Train toy for a long time.

When I grow up I want to be like Aunt Ev.

Mirra's Make Up

Mirra has located my make up. Looks like Santa's elf will be up at 4:30 a.m. on Black Friday to get her a vanity to satisfy her curiosity and tactile sense. If I choose to think of it as artistic, maybe it will seem less shallow.

Holidays

Halloween was such a big hit with the kids that they even pretend play that it is Halloween. They knock on the playset and say 'trick or treat', handing out twigs as candy.

Mirra thinks we dress up for all holidays now. She told me yesterday that she wants to be a snowman for Christmas and Drew should be a yellow cat.

Bye Bye Berber

Last week we finally finished the redecoration of Drew's room. The kids both got new carpet and the berber is gone!

Drew's walls are orange, his favorite color. And he has an open-wheel racing theme. Andy put up corrugated metal with white trim. That was a chore, but I think it looks great. I topped his play table with checkerboard vinyl tiles. The pictures on his walls are of races he has been to, him in his quarter midget, and drivers' promotional postcards. We still need a Dave Darland one. Thanks to Grandma Miles and Aunt Sheri for curtains and pillow cases!
