Mirra-isms

One night Mirra made some verbal demand. I replied sarcastically "yes, Ma'am." She got very mad and yelled "I'm NOT a man. I'm a girl!"

She decided to be funny this morning and put my shoes on for a laugh. "Your shoes are too big for my little feet."

And the adventures of Little Buddy (Mirra's imaginary baby mouse that flies, swims, drives and is the size of a flea): One day Mirra told me Little Buddy got a boo-boo. I told her I would kiss her boo-boo but Mirra told me I couldn't because Little Buddy was "only this big" while holding her fingers a tiny fraction of an inch apart. One other day Little Buddy was in time-out. I asked what she did to get time out. "She hit Drew." Hmmmm....nothing like having your very own imaginary scapegoat.

It's Never Dull Around Here...

...but maybe the scissors should be.

While helping Drew comb his hair I noticed a clump missing in front. My first thought was 'why would he do that?' It couldn't possibly be because he has heard me for the last five consecutive days say 'boy, your hair needs a trim.' Yet another reminder to watch what I say.

Wor-umms

I love that Mirra currently gives short words an extra syllable. Worms has become wor-umms. And she will say suh-weeeet (sweet!).

She may love to dress up in frilly princess threads, but her favorite outdoor activity is worm hunting. She hit the mother-lode the other day. Her hand was over-flowing with the wiggly little creatures and she was SO proud. She was so excited about her worms that she got mad when her grandma and I asked her to put them down so we could go eat ice cream.
