We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours has been fun and eventful.
At the Gentry gathering (my mom's side) on Saturday, Drew made it his job to go around and help everyone else unwrap their gifts. It was great to see everyone. A few of my cousins were unable to attend because of distance and new babies, but we had a nice time visiting with all who came.
We then drove to Peoria for the Miles Christmas. Andy's mom visited the Children's museum with us over the summer and commented how she had always wanted a dollhouse when she was a little girl. So the kids got together and got her one for Christmas. It was wonderful to see her face light up when we put it together:) We missed having Cassidy (our great-niece) there this year but the kids still had fun. It was so nice to visit with Denny and Barb, Debbie and Jade, and Charissa and Dan.
Christmas morning was magical. Drew was very enthusiastic this year. Last year he was so tired opening his presents that it was comical. Drew received a Big Wheel from Santa and Mirra received a LeapFrog table. Mirra's favorite part was all the paper. Andy got an iPod from Santa and I got a necklace and DVD player. The kids played with their toys until my parents and brother came. Andy grilled steaks (chicken for me, I know I'm a weirdo but I don't eat things that are bloody or even pink). Andy got some inflatable 'boppers' that Drew quickly made use of. He kept bopping Papa on the head and getting a very animated reaction from him:) Finally Papa's head became pink. We told Drew that Papa's head was hurt so he kissed him on the top of his head.
We went to Anita's that night to have dinner with her, Ryan, and Gram Ellington. My brother left that night, but my parents are staying for a nice visit for a few days.
With my parents here Andy and I had a chance to go out on a date. Charlie Wilson's War: LOT of f-bombs but a very good movie.

Hey there! Glad everyone had fun over the holiday weekend, I wish we could've made it. We flipped back and forth making plans, but in the end 8+ hours in the car with Ethan and Lily would likely be disastrous. Angela and I wanted to say thank you for the paint storage and gift card to Michaels. We can get our paint out of shoe boxes now :] Love, Mark
