Our Peoria Visit

Mirra had her well-baby visit on Wednesday. The doc says she looks perfect. She weighs 20 lbs. 10 oz. and is now 29 1/2 inches tall. Developmentally she is right on track. She has a few words now (hi, dad, ma, thank you). She has said a handful of others but doesn't use them consistantly, but her pediatrician said that was normal. Since Drew's speech has developed much differently we are in new territory.

After the doctor visit we went to Peoria for a couple of days. It was nice to have much of the Miles family together. I was really grateful that Andy could coordinate a business trip to Chicago so that I didn't have to drive both kids by myself. The trip up started off well since Mirra's seat could face forward. I'm not sure we would have all survived the ride back without Andy driving. Mirra became very high-maintenance.

Andy's sister, Diane, taught Mirra to give 5. Pretty cute.

Our great-niece, Cassidy, came over and we had fun playing with her.

We were standing in the kitchen and turned around to find that Drew had picked up his sister, stood her on the couch, and was bouncing next to her saying "jump, baby!" I almost had a heart attack.
